A Voice Shaped by Purpose
Born in Accra, Ghana, I am Theophilus Atuahene Adu known in the creative space as IyamAtuahene. I come from a legacy of resilience, raised in a culture where stories were passed down through rhythm, wisdom, and firelight.
With a background in Public Relations and an MBA in Marketing, my journey weaves through strategic communication, community engagement, and the transformative power of art. I am the Managing Partner of Ehalakasa Ghana’s premier spoken word and slam poetry collective and I currently serve as the Board Member in charge of Communications and Marketing for the World Poetry Slam Organization.
My life’s work bridges poetry, advocacy, and purpose. I’ve led Ghana to global recognition at the World Poetry Slam Championships reaching semifinals in Brazil (2023), placing 5th in Togo (2024), and ultimately clinching the world title in Mexico (2025).
But titles don’t define me, impact does.

From empowering young poets to crafting global strategies, from grassroots events to international stages, my mission is clear: to use words, platforms, and purpose to transform lives.
WHAT I STAND FOR

Community-Driven Creativity
Poetry as a tool for education and equity.I believe in the power of spoken word to reach hearts, spark conversations, and educate beyond the classroom. Whether mentoring young poets or curating stages for underrepresented voices, I use poetry as a channel to amplify truth, build identity, and drive social justice — from Accra to the world.

Strategic Impact
Merging communication with cause.
With an MBA in Marketing and a career rooted in Public Relations, I translate big ideas into systems that work. My work aligns storytelling with strategy — designing campaigns, building brands, and scaling movements that are not only creative but measurable, purposeful, and lasting.

Legacy-Minded Leadership
Building platforms that outlive the moment.
I’m not here for short-lived applause — I’m here to build ecosystems. From co-leading Ehalakasa to structuring global initiatives with the World Poetry Slam Organization, I focus on creating institutions, opportunities, and frameworks that empower the next generation long after the lights fade.
